Part-Time HR Assistant / HR Generalist
Location: Boerne, TX area.
Schedule: 15–20 hours per week
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable HR Assistant/Generalist to support our HR Director during an exciting period of company growth. This part-time role is ideal for an experienced HR professional who enjoys balancing administrative responsibilities with employee support and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparing paperwork and ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Maintain confidential employee records and handle sensitive HR information with discretion.
- Provide day-to-day HR administrative support and assist with general HR functions.
- Support payroll processing by gathering and verifying employee information.
- Research and communicate with state agencies regarding payroll tax rates, unemployment (SUTA) requirements, and withholding compliance.
- Assist with multi-state HR and payroll compliance requirements.
- Coordinate employee training, prepare training agendas, and help organize learning initiatives.
- Assist with HR projects, documentation, reporting, and process improvements.
- Work closely with and report directly to the HR Director.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in Human Resources, HR administration, or an HR Generalist role.
- Degree preferred.
- Knowledge of onboarding, payroll support, and HR compliance.
- Familiarity with multi-state employment practices and payroll tax requirements is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HRIS/payroll systems is a plus.
