Job Full Description
Express is partnering with a local company and looking for an experienced Backhoe Operator. This is a long-term position and GREAT opportunity to grow, as the company is looking to train the selected candidate to become a foreman.
Position: Backhoe Operator
Pay: $17.00/hr to start
Schedule: Mon-Thurs, 7:00AM-5:30PM (10hr shifts)
Duties:
- Operate backhoe and other construction equipment
- Excavation, trenching, grading, and material handling
- Assist with railroad construction and maintenance projects
- Perform equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Follow safety procedures and company policies
- General construction labor as needed
- Train for future Foreman responsibilities
Requirements:
- Backhoe operation experience, other heavy equipment a plus
- Construction industry experience
- Foreman experience a plus
- Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Heavy lifting up to 50lbs
- Willing to travel
Required PPE:
- Steel-toe boots
- 18" lace-up work boots
- Long-sleeve work shirts
