Job Full Description
Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Welder to join a growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled welder looking for long-term employment in a fast-paced production environment.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform MIG (GMAW) welding on structural steel components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings.
- Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet AWS and company quality standards.
- Assist with fitting, grinding, and material preparation.
- Safely work around production equipment and robotic welding systems.
- Maintain quality, productivity, and workplace safety throughout each shift.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of structural steel or heavy manufacturing welding experience.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- AWS certification or completion of a welding program preferred.
- Ability to pass a welding test.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
