Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate
Temple, TX | Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (30-Minute Lunch)
Pay: $18-22/hr
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a local company seeking a dependable and motivated Shipping & Receiving Warehouse Associate. This position is ideal for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys a fast-paced environment and takes pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork.
Job Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments and verify contents against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect materials for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues as needed.
- Unload, sort, label, and store inventory in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, label, and prepare outgoing orders for shipment.
- Create shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.
- Coordinate shipments and pickups with carriers and delivery drivers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts.
- Enter shipping and receiving data into inventory or warehouse management systems.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow company policies and OSHA safety standards.
- Work closely with warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required. Certification is a plus.
- Ability to use pallet jacks, hand trucks, barcode scanners, and other warehouse equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
- Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. independently.
- Occasionally lift or move items over 50 lbs. with assistance or mechanical equipment.
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment and perform physical labor as needed.
