Planning and Purchasing Manager January 6, 2026

Express Employment Professionals has partnered with a company in Terrell to fill a Planning and Purchasing Manager position!

a) With the collaborations of Sales, Marketing, Finance & Controlling create, validate, distribute, and publish a demand plan by item by week that aligns with financial goals for the company.
b) With the collaborations of manufacturing, materials availability, and distribution develop and implement methods and procedures for optimum utilization of manufacturing facilities, processes, and warehousing and equipment.
c) Develop and implement a forecast error rate at the Shipping point level/Material/route level

Develop finite and short to mid-range production plans, working closely with Demand Plan, Sales & Marketing, and manufacturing site leaders.
Create, distribute, and coordinate the weekly finite schedule for all areas of the plant (Processing, Bottling, Packaging, Materials Requirements, and distribution)
Determine monthly, weekly, and daily (as required) raw milk requirements for the facility by week/day and coordinate with site manufacturing leaders.
Track and monitor all areas of the plant's adherence and attainment of such finite schedule and report any deviations to the appropriate parties.
Work with the appropriate departments to ensure the completion of the finite schedule within the allowed time frames.
Report any gross deviations that may have a customer service impact to the appropriate departments.
Alert the team of any extraordinary production schedule requirements that could impact the availability of materials.

Work with the appropriate outside vendors to secure Raw materials, ingredients, and packaging (including samples, and obtaining all necessary documentations for certifications)
Work with vendors and through negotiations obtain the best prices and purchasing terms possible.
Determine the requirements of packaging materials based on the demand and production schedules.

a) Direct and supervise the co-manufacturing of outsourced materials activities, their standard costs, the adherence to these standards, materials utilization where applied, and information data availability among partners:

Participate in strategic special projects.
Participate in Microsoft Business Central design teams
Lead efforts to install standard processes for the Master Production Scheduling function.
Forecast to Finished Goods implementation and participate in the development of a solid and integrated MRP system that will support current business and others in the future
