Job Title: Telehandler Operator – Structural Steel Warehouse
We are currently hiring an experienced Telehandler Operator to support operations in our structural steel warehouse. This position plays a critical role in safely lifting, moving, and positioning heavy steel beams and large materials throughout the warehouse and staging areas. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling structural steel using telehandler equipment.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate a telehandler to move, load, and position structural steel beams, bundles, and oversized materials within the warehouse.

Coordinate with warehouse staff, riggers, and shipping/receiving teams to support daily material handling tasks.

Conduct daily pre-use inspections and minor maintenance to ensure telehandler functionality and safety.

Follow all warehouse safety protocols, including proper rigging techniques, load limits, and equipment operation standards.

Utilize hand signals or radio communication to coordinate with spotters and floor staff.

Read and interpret material layout plans, load lists, and inventory sheets to accurately position or retrieve materials.

Maintain clear walkways, organized material staging, and accurate inventory movements using equipment.
Requirements:

Valid Telehandler Operator certification or license (OSHA-compliant or equivalent).

Minimum of 2 years of experience operating telehandlers in a warehouse or steel fabrication environment.

Strong understanding of structural steel materials, rigging procedures, and safe lifting practices.

Ability to operate in a fast-paced warehouse setting while ensuring safety and accuracy.

Physically capable of lifting, standing, and operating equipment in a non-climate-controlled environment.

Strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to warehouse safety.
