Job Full Description

The Data Entry – Inventory Control position plays a critical role in supporting material inventory management and streamlining supply chain operations. This position is responsible for accurately tracking and managing the flow of materials through our systems to ensure optimal inventory levels and support production efficiency. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of working collaboratively across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Enter and access inventory data using the company’s inventory management system.

  • Utilize computer systems to identify and troubleshoot inventory control discrepancies.

  • Perform general administrative duties including typing, filing, and record maintenance.

  • Monitor inventory levels and stock movements to maintain adequate supply.

  • Support the creation of material orders and purchase orders as needed.

  • Generate custom queries and reports using database programs.

  • Maintain accurate records of material usage, adjustments, and transactions.

  • Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure the accurate and timely processing of incoming and outgoing materials.

  • Assist in creating and managing Bills of Lading.

  • Participate in periodic physical inventory counts and reconciliation activities.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to identify and resolve discrepancies.

  • Assist in the generation and release of Manufacturing Orders based on the Master Schedule.

  • Help manage work order priorities and workstation capacities.

  • Support process improvement efforts focused on enhancing inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, inventory, or material control role.

  • Basic understanding of inventory management and supply chain principles.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel.

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Familiarity with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications (Optional):

  • Experience with Bills of Lading and Manufacturing Order processes.

  • Prior involvement in process improvement or lean manufacturing initiatives.


Working Conditions:

  • Office and warehouse environment.

  • May require occasional lifting of materials or participation in physical inventory counts.

  • Standard working hours with occasional overtime as needed during inventory or production cycles.
