Job Full Description

The TIG Welder will be responsible for welding and fabricating sheet metal components using TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welding techniques. This role requires experience working with stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals in a fabrication environment. The ideal candidate will have strong technical welding skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a dedication to safety and quality workmanship.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on various sheet metal materials including stainless steel and aluminum

  • Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications

  • Set up welding equipment and ensure proper gas flow, heat settings, and filler materials

  • Inspect welds for quality, strength, and accuracy, making adjustments as needed

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to company safety policies

  • Use hand and power tools to cut, grind, or finish metal surfaces as required

  • Work with fabricators and supervisors to meet production deadlines and quality standards

  • Maintain welding equipment and report any maintenance needs

  • Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures and protocols


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Minimum 2 years TIG welding experience (preferably in sheet metal fabrication)

  • Strong understanding of TIG welding processes, tools, and safety practices

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and work orders

  • Experience welding thin-gauge metals, especially stainless steel and aluminum

  • Familiarity with basic fabrication equipment (press brake, shear, grinders, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail and quality

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
