Staff Accountant
Pay: $60,000–$65,000/year
Location: McGregor, TX | Full-Time | In-Office | Contract-to-Hire
About the Role:
Express Employment Professionals is hiring on behalf of a manufacturing company seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant. This role offers hands-on experience across core accounting functions, including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and financial reporting in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record daily transactions and assist with journal entries
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Manage accounts payable and receivable (invoicing, payments, reconciliations)
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Assist with bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
- Support audits, reporting, and compliance with GAAP
- Collaborate with production, purchasing, and finance teams
- Help develop and improve accounting processes and SOPs
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3+ years of accounting experience (manufacturing preferred)
- Knowledge of GAAP and core accounting principles
- Proficient in Excel; ERP/accounting software experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
