Position Summary
We are a rapidly growing aluminum extrusion company in Megargel, TX, looking for a skilled Experienced Powder Coater to join our production team. The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial powder coating experience, strong attention to detail, reliable transportation, and exceptional attendance. Key Responsibilities
- Apply powder coating to aluminum extrusion products accurately and consistently.
- Set up, operate, and maintain powder coating booths, guns, ovens, and related equipment.
- Prepare and hang parts, ensure proper grounding, and monitor coating thickness.
- Inspect coated parts for quality, curing, adhesion, and color consistency.
- Make equipment adjustments to maintain production quality and efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow all safety requirements.
- Meet daily production goals and coordinate with supervisors and leads.
- Work 12-hour shifts with mandatory overtime, including weekends when required.
Requirements
- Must have previous powder coating experience (industrial or aluminum extrusion preferred).
- Working knowledge of powder prep, application, curing cycles, and defect recognition.
- Must have reliable transportation to the Megargel facility.
- Exceptional attendance — this role is vital to production flow.
- Must be able to work in a hot manufacturing environment.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for 12 hours; lift 50–75 lbs when needed.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and desire to grow with the company.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE requirements.
