 Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist (CNC)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Horizontal Boring Mill Machinist with a minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC horizontal boring mill machines to produce precision components. This role requires attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC horizontal boring mill machines
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Perform machine programming and adjustments as needed
• Verify dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary corrections
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
• Identify and troubleshoot machining issues

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience (horizontal boring mill preferred)
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
• Experience with CNC programming (G-code knowledge preferred)
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges)
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications (Optional)

• Experience with large part machining
• Prior experience with Fanuc or similar CNC controls
• Technical or trade school certification
