The Water Jet Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a CNC water jet cutting machine to cut various materials according to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of machine programming, and the ability to read technical drawings and blueprints. The operator ensures precise cuts with minimal waste while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Set up and operate water jet cutting machine to cut a wide range of materials (metal, plastic, stone, composites, etc.).

Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine material specifications, machine setup, and cutting paths.

Load and secure raw materials onto the cutting bed.

Program and adjust machine settings, including feed rates, pressure, and nozzle angles, using CNC software.

Monitor machine operation and cutting performance, making real-time adjustments as needed.

Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).

Perform routine machine maintenance, such as cleaning filters, replacing nozzles, and checking fluid levels.

Record production data and maintain documentation for quality control.

Follow all safety procedures and report any hazards or equipment issues immediately.
