            Installer / Glazier / Garage Door Installer
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM, some Saturdays as needed
 Pay: $17–$20 per hour, DOE (Depending on Experience)
 
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Installer / Glazier / Garage Door Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with window and door installation, including glass handling and garage door systems. Key Responsibilities
Measure and Prepare Openings
- 
Take accurate measurements of window and door openings to ensure proper fit.
 
- 
Inspect framing, sills, and openings for damage, rot, or defects, and make necessary repairs before installation.
 
- 
Prepare job sites, ensuring areas are clean, safe, and ready for installation.
 
Install Windows, Doors, and Glass
- 
Position, level, and secure new windows and doors using appropriate fasteners, shims, and sealants.
 
- 
Install trim, flashing, and insulation to achieve a weather-tight and energy-efficient finish.
 
- 
Safely remove and replace existing windows, glass panels, or doors as needed.
 
- 
Install and adjust garage doors, tracks, openers, and related hardware for smooth operation.
 
Seal, Finish, and Quality Check
- 
Apply caulking, foam, and other sealants to prevent air and water leaks.
 
- 
Inspect completed installations for alignment, operation, and overall quality.
 
- 
Clean work areas and ensure all products are functioning correctly before project completion.
 
Tools and Equipment
- 
Operate a variety of hand and power tools including drills, saws, levels, and lifts.
 
- 
Handle glass and heavy materials safely using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
 
- 
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
 
Read and Interpret Plans
- 
Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and work orders accurately.
 
- 
Ensure all installations meet manufacturer requirements, building codes, and safety standards.
 
Customer Service and Communication
- 
Communicate clearly with customers about installation timelines, procedures, and maintenance tips.
 
- 
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
 
- 
Report job progress, issues, or material needs to supervisors or project managers promptly.
 
Qualifications
- 
Previous experience as a window installer, glazier, or garage door technician preferred (will train the right candidate).
 
- 
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work safely at heights or on ladders.
 
- 
Basic knowledge of construction practices and tool use.
 
- 
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and reliability.
 
- 
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
