Ranch Hand – Full-Time (Tue–Sat, 5:00 AM–2:00 PM)
Compensation: $18–$20/hr, based on experience
Housing: Not provided
We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Ranch Hand to join our team. This role includes a wide variety of daily tasks such as livestock care, equipment and vehicle maintenance, landscaping, and general property upkeep. Responsibilities
Livestock & Animal Care
- Feed, water, and care for livestock as needed.
- Clean corrals and maintain stalls.
- Perform daily checks of feed and watering troughs.
- Assist with loading and unloading livestock.
- Roping and horseback riding skills are a plus.
Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance
- Power wash, clean, and detail all vehicles and machinery, including cars, trucks, tractors, trailers, and ranch equipment.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks, minor repairs, and oil changes.
- Ensure vehicles are fueled, functional, and ready for use.
Landscaping
- Perform mowing, trimming, edging, weeding, fertilizing, pest control, and efficient “desert-wise” watering.
- Plant, water, and care for trees, shrubs, and property landscaping.
- Maintain, repair, and operate irrigation and sprinkler systems.
General Property Maintenance
- Help maintain buildings, fences, and ranch infrastructure.
- Perform welding, painting, cleaning, and general repairs.
- Assist with seasonal tasks such as equipment winterization.
Equipment Operation
Experience with the following is preferred:
- Skid steer
- Tractors
- Backhoes
- Loaders
- Forklifts
- Other large and small equipment
Qualifications
- Experience with livestock, landscaping, vehicle maintenance, or general labor preferred.
- Strong work ethic and comfort working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform manual labor.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Able to operate heavy equipment.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail.
- Own transportation required.
