Job Full Description
Truck Driver Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drives truck prompting the company to make complete, accurate and on time deliveries to the company's customers.
- Driver will represent the company in a highly professional manner.
- Complies with DOT and other applicable regulations.
- Proficiency in basic order entry and warehouse shipping/receiving functions.
- Loading truck, securing items and verifying accuracy.
- Drive truck to deliver materials to customer's home, job site and place of business.
- Collect payments.
- Attend educational and safety meetings as required by management.
- Clean and maintain inside of truck.
- Inspect truck before delivery day, communicate with supervisor on all maintenance or safety issues.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record, valid driver's license. Maintain forklift certifications.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Provide assistance in the warehouse by unloading trucks, keeping facility clean, answering phones and assisting customers.
- Ability to read maps, use computerized mapping programs, and follow written and verbal geographic directions.
- Class B Driver's license required.
- MUST PASS A CRIMINAL AND DRUG TEST.
- Basic computer knowledge to include basic keyboarding and the ability to learn new programs and applications.
