Job Title: Welder
Location: Fredericksburg, VA
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Available based on workload and production needs
Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Welder to join a team in Fredericksburg, VA. The ideal candidate will have previous welding experience and be comfortable working in a steel fabrication environment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to produce quality welds, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive workplace.
Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fabrication tasks according to job specifications
- Weld and assemble steel components using proper techniques and equipment
- Read and interpret measurements, drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, accuracy, and structural integrity
- Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment and tools
- Perform grinding, cutting, and other metal fabrication duties as needed
- Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Work with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Requirements:
- Previous welding experience required
- Experience working with steel fabrication preferred
- Ability to safely operate welding equipment and hand tools
- Ability to read measurements and follow detailed instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and work in a physical environment
- Reliable transportation and strong attendance required
Dress Code / PPE Requirements:
- Work-appropriate clothing required
- Steel-toe boots required
- Long pants required (no shorts)
- Long-sleeve shirt or welding-appropriate protective clothing required
- Welding helmet/hood and proper eye protection required
- Welding gloves required
- No open-toed shoes, loose clothing, or unsafe footwear permitted
Schedule & Pay:
- Monday – Friday
- 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- $22.00/hour
- Overtime opportunities available depending on workload
