Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Material Handler/Yard Worker for our client. This role is responsible for handling and maintaining the flow of building materials within the yard, including lifting, carrying, and stacking products according to established company guidelines. 

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, lift, carry, and stack building materials to support daily yard operations. 
• Operate material-handling equipment, including sit-down forklifts (required). 
• Follow all safety procedures and attend required safety meetings. 
• Support senior yard staff and complete material-handling tasks as directed. 

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; on-the-job training provided. 
• Sit-down forklift experience required.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and apply common-sense understanding. 
• Manual dexterity and knowledge of safe material-handling practices. 

Physical Requirements

• Lift 25 lbs frequently and up to 80 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to climb, kneel, push, and perform physical yard tasks.
• Work in a yard environment with temperature changes, dust, noise, and mechanical equipment. 

Work Environment

• Full-time, on-site yard/warehouse role.
• No travel required and no supervisory responsibilities.
