We are looking for B Deck/Metal Decking Installers with one of our clients who will be responsible for the safe and accurate installation of steel roof and floor decking (commonly referred to as “B Deck”), which serves as a structural platform for commercial, industrial, and multi-story buildings. Position: B Deck/Metal Decking Installer
Job description:
- Install B Decking and other types of metal decking according to project specifications and drawings
- Measure, mark, and cut decking materials for proper fit and alignment
- Secure decking panels to structural steel using welding, mechanical fasteners, or other approved methods
- Inspect materials for defects and ensure proper handling and storage on site
- Collaborate with project managers, foremen, and other trades to ensure timely completion of decking work
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, following all OSHA and company safety guidelines
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for deck installation
- Assist in loading, unloading, and moving decking materials as needed
- Perform quality checks to ensure proper installation and alignment of decking
- Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience with metal decking installation or structural steel work is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and perform manual labor
- Basic welding or fastening skills (certification is a plus)
Work Environment:
- Construction sites (indoor and outdoor)
- Exposure to varying weather conditions
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required
Reports to:
- Foreman or Site Supervisor

Work Location: South Riding, VA (In person)
Work Hours: 6:30 AM – 5:00 PM (Lunch will be provided)
Pay Rate: $20/hr-$21/hr
