Job Summary:

Leading national construction and retail electrical supplier is seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Front Counter Sales & Customer Service Representative. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers seeking electrical supplies, providing expert product knowledge, processing sales transactions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Salary potential could exceed 25.00-27.00/hour after initial trial period.

Schedule: M-F, 8:00 am-5:30 pm

Pay: 20.00-24.00/hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers promptly and professionally at the front counter.
  • Assist with warehouse and inventory/order retrieval, including forklift operation
  • Assist customers in selecting appropriate electrical products based on their needs.
  • Provide accurate information on product features, pricing, availability, and warranties.
  • Process sales transactions using point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Handle customer inquiries, returns, and complaints with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain organized and well-stocked displays and shelves.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure product availability.
  • Stay up-to-date on new products, industry trends, and safety standards.
  • Support outside sales staff with customer orders and product sourcing.
  • Perform light administrative duties such as invoicing, order entry, and filing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in electrical systems is a plus.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in electrical or hardware supplies.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products, tools, and components.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems.
  • Physical ability to lift and move products (up to 50 lbs).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with inventory management systems.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or other) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with local electrical codes and contractor needs.
