Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused Counter Sales Associate for a busy construction supply company in Gainesville. This role supports contractors, builders, and walk-in customers by providing product knowledge, processing orders, and ensuring excellent service at the sales counter.
Responsibilities

Assist customers with construction material and supply purchases

Process sales orders, invoices, and payments

Answer phones and respond to customer inquiries

Recommend products based on customer needs

Maintain organized inventory and showroom displays

Coordinate with warehouse staff for order fulfillment

Support loading assistance when needed

Build strong relationships with contractors and repeat customers
Qualifications

Previous counter sales, retail sales, or construction supply experience preferred

Knowledge of building materials, tools, or hardware is a plus

Strong communication and customer service skills
