Shop Foreman – Diesel Engines
Pay: $35–$42 per hour (based on experience)
Start Date: August 1, 2026
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Shop Foreman with a strong technical background in diesel engines to lead shop operations and supervise technicians. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage people, ensure high-quality repairs, maintain productivity, and support a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily shop operations.
- Lead, mentor, and manage diesel technicians and shop personnel.
- Diagnose and assist with complex diesel engine repairs and troubleshooting.
- Monitor work quality, efficiency, and repair timelines.
- Schedule workload and prioritize jobs to meet customer and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety policies and company procedures.
- Maintain accurate repair documentation and shop records.
- Communicate professionally with management, vendors, and customers as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, lead technician, or foreman role.
- Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shop environment.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diesel certification and/or relevant technical training.
- Experience with heavy equipment, trucks, or fleet maintenance.
- Familiarity with shop management software and work-order systems.
