Church Administrator
Position Summary
The Church Administrator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day administrative operations of the church. This role provides organizational, financial, and communication support to church leadership, ensuring effective ministry operations and a welcoming environment for members, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Manage daily office operations and administrative functions.
- Answer phones, respond to emails, and assist church members and visitors.
- Maintain church records, databases, membership information, and confidential files.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, bulletins, and church publications.
- Basic computer/Microsoft Office 365 knowledge.
Scheduling and Event Coordination
- Manage church calendars, facility usage, and room reservations.
- Coordinate logistics for worship services, meetings, weddings, funerals, and special events.
- Support ministry leaders with planning and administrative needs.
- Communicate schedules and event details to staff, volunteers, and congregation members.
Communication and Member Relations
- Serve as a primary point of contact for church members and the community.
- Create and distribute newsletters, announcements, and church communications.
- Manage church social media accounts and website content, when applicable.
- Foster positive relationships with members, visitors, and volunteers.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous administrative, office management, or church administration experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a service-oriented attitude.

Work Environment:
This position operates primarily in a church office setting and may require occasional evening or weekend hours to support church activities and special events.
