Position Summary
The Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading shipments, inventory management, order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of performing physical tasks in a fast-paced setting while ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Load and unload boxes, products, and materials from trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles.
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to company standards.
- Organize and store inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and stock replenishment.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
- Ensure products are handled safely to prevent damage or loss.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity and shipping deadlines.
- Assist with general warehouse duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math and inventory management skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Forklift certification is a plus but not required.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
