Job Title: Machine Operator
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production machinery to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of automotive components. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and adjust production machinery according to work instructions and production schedules
- Monitor machine performance and product quality during operation
- Perform routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Identify, troubleshoot, and report equipment malfunctions or process deviations
- Ensure all products meet quality specifications and customer requirements
- Follow all safety procedures, policies, and regulations at all times
- Accurately complete production records, quality checks, and downtime reports
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
- Collaborate with supervisors, maintenance, and quality teams to improve efficiency and reduce defects
- Meet production targets while minimizing scrap and downtime
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous machine operation experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment is an asset
- Ability to read and understand work instructions, diagrams, and basic technical documentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail
- Willingness to work shifts, overtime, and weekends as required
