Job Title: Carpenter / Tile Installer
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter with experience in laying ceramic tile. The ideal candidate will have strong carpentry fundamentals and the ability to install ceramic tile for residential and/or commercial projects with precision, durability, and high-quality finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry duties including framing, repairs, remodeling, and finish work
- Prepare surfaces for ceramic tile installation, including measuring, leveling, and waterproofing
- Cut, lay, and set ceramic tile on floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces
- Mix, apply, and spread mortar or adhesive materials
- Install grout, sealants, and trim to ensure a professional finish
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and layout plans
- Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades on job sites
- Clean and organize work areas upon project completion
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter with ceramic tile installation skills
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, and tools
- Ability to accurately measure, cut, and align materials
- Familiarity with tile layout patterns and installation methods
- Understanding of basic construction math and leveling techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions
Preferred Qualifications
- Formal training or apprenticeship in carpentry or tile installation
- Experience with waterproofing systems (e.g., backer board, membranes)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
