Job Title: Carpenter
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and/or commercial construction, with the ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, and complete high-quality craftsmanship. This role involves building, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications
- Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials accurately
- Construct, install, and repair structures such as frameworks, walls, floors, doors, and cabinetry
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery safely
- Inspect and replace damaged framework or structures as needed
- Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a carpenter in construction or a related field
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment
- Good physical condition, stamina, and manual dexterity
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Reliable transportation and punctuality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program
- Experience with both rough and finish carpentry
- Familiarity with a variety of building materials and techniques
