Job Full Description
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Automotive Detailer. The Automotive Detailer is responsible for cleaning, polishing, and maintaining the appearance of customer and dealership vehicles. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, wax, buff, and polish vehicle exteriors
- Vacuum, shampoo, and clean vehicle interiors including carpets, seats, dashboards, and windows
- Apply protective finishes and treatments to vehicle surfaces
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness and report any damage or maintenance concerns
- Clean engine compartments, wheels, and tires
- Maintain detailing tools, equipment, and supplies
- Move and park vehicles safely on dealership or shop property
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure customer satisfaction
- Assist with additional shop or lot duties as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous automotive detailing or car wash experience preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to operate both automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in varying weather conditions
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
Work Environment
- Fast-paced automotive dealership, service center, or detailing shop
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals, water, and vehicle fumes
- Use of detailing tools and equipment including buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers
