Dishwasher / Food Service Worker
Location: Blacksburg, VA
Start Date: August 5
Shifts Available: Morning and Evening
Join our food service team in a fast-paced dining environment. We are looking for dependable, hardworking individuals to help maintain a clean, safe kitchen while supporting food preparation and customer service operations.
Responsibilities:
- Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine.
- Keep kitchen, dish room, and food preparation areas clean and sanitized.
- Sweep, mop, and remove trash and recycling as needed.
- Assist with stocking supplies and putting away deliveries.
- Support food preparation by portioning, serving, or replenishing food when needed.
- Restock serving lines, beverage stations, and dining areas.
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and dining staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- No experience required; training is provided.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 pounds throughout the shift.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible availability for morning or evening shifts, including weekends as needed.
