Key Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary punctures on patients of all ages
- Accurately label, process, and transport specimens according to protocol
- Verify patient identity and ensure proper documentation
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures
- Provide excellent patient care, ensuring comfort and professionalism
- Assist with specimen handling and laboratory support duties as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Phlebotomy certification preferred (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Previous phlebotomy experience in a hospital or clinical setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of venipuncture techniques and specimen handling
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
