Job Full Description
Job Title: Maintenance Technician - NIGHT SHIFT
Basic Function
Responsible for setting up, maintaining, and repairing industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and assemble new machinery according to specifications.
- Monitor machines and equipment (visually and audibly) to detect malfunctions and determine necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Interpret blueprints, sketches, and technical specifications to diagnose issues and perform repairs.
- Assemble, test, and verify machine functionality after maintenance or repair.
- Dismantle and reassemble machinery to replace defective components as needed.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Lubricate and maintain machinery and tools to ensure proper operation.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines during daily operations.
- Adhere to quality standards and operating procedures to ensure consistent performance.
- Deliver excellent service, collaborate effectively with team members, and communicate respectfully.
- Support organizational mission, values, and ethical standards while complying with all policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Experience:
- 1–3 years of related experience preferred
- Industrial maintenance certification (e.g., MT1) is a plus
- Military or technical training may be considered in lieu of direct experience
Skills, Abilities & Knowledge
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to operate machine tools
- Ability to assemble, repair, and maintain industrial equipment
- Proficiency in reading and following complex technical instructions
- Basic math and documentation skills
- Knowledge of quality control procedures
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Experience operating forklifts and aerial work platforms
- Working knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Machining and fabrication skills are a plus
- Ability to create or interpret electrical and mechanical drawings
Working Conditions
- Regular standing, walking, and physical activity required
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs frequently
- Vision sufficient for reading, computer use, and color recognition
- Hearing ability sufficient for communication and awareness of alarms
- Moderate noise environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles

Safety Requirements
- Follow all company safety protocols and safe work practices

- Electrical training required for live diagnostics

- Pre-job safety assessments (e.g., hot work permits) required for non-routine tasks
