Job Full Description
We’re partnering with a leading telecom infrastructure company to find an Area Director to manage fiber construction operations in the Manassas market. This leadership role is responsible for driving project execution, customer relationships, and team development in a fast-paced, $50M+ environment. The Area Director will oversee all operational aspects of OSP (Outside Plant) fiber construction, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all operational aspects of fiber construction in the market.
- Manage market P&L and develop strategies to meet financial targets and growth objectives.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with carriers, municipalities, and key stakeholders.
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team across operations, engineering, and support.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to drive national strategies and initiatives.
- Monitor and support 24/7 operations, emergency response, and on-call troubleshooting.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in telecom construction, fiber deployment, or data center operations.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale telecom projects and operational teams.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, and profit margins.
- Strong knowledge of OSP fiber, permitting, and regulatory environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Experience with telecom tools like OSPInsight, Netcracker, or Amdocs is a plus.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
