Job Full Description
A growing manufacturing company based in Winchester, VA is looking to add an IT Help Desk Assistant to their team. This is a full-time position that will last until the end of the year.
We’re seeking someone with strong communication skills and basic IT knowledge, ready to support our internal IT department by fielding help desk inquiries, both by phone and email, and routing them to the appropriate technicians or departments. This role will also involve assisting with minor on-site tech tasks such as resetting routers and basic WiFi troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:

Answer and triage incoming help desk emails and phone calls

Direct inquiries to the appropriate IT staff or department

Track and follow up on open tickets or unresolved issues
-
Perform basic troubleshooting (e.g., routers, WiFi connectivity, password resets)

Maintain accurate logs of help desk interactions

Provide friendly and professional support to internal staff and field technicians

Occasionally assist with minor hardware setup or cable management as needed
Qualifications:
-
1–2 years of IT support or help desk experience preferred

Strong communication and organizational skills
-
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Basic understanding of computer networks, routers, and WiFi setup

Willingness to learn and grow within the company

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and have a clean driving record
Bonus Qualifications:

CNCI certification or similar IT-related certifications
-
Familiarity with VoIP, surveillance systems, or network cabling
