General Summary:

The Assistant Project Manager is a Highly organized and competent professional who uses their excellent communications skills assisting the Project Management team. The Assistant Project Manager's responsibilities include monitoring project progress, following up with stakeholders on the completion or delay of project phases, managing physical sample requirements, and maintaining project documents and reports.

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Contribute and support the planning and execution of projects. 
  • Perform tasks assigned by the Project Manager in an efficient and timely manner.  
  • Maintain oversight of all project activities, identify any issues, and ensure these are resolved promptly.
  • Communicating with stakeholders regarding project needs and goals.
  • Researching information as required.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as preparing invoices, estimates, etc.
  • Keeping track of and reporting on project progress.
  • The assistant Project Manager will also backup others in the department when needed.
  • Sending out and receiving mail and packages
  • General office duties include, but not limited to Scanning, copying, fax and mailing
  • Submitting product data, and samples to customer as needed for approval.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

  • Manage customer relationship post-sale.
  • Order Entry, both Frames and Glass only projects
  • Input custom sample orders per project requirements and order standard stock samples as needed for approval.
  • Resolve post-delivery issues (Customer Service Issues) including but not limited to:
  • Active Listening to and documenting complaints from customer.
  • Work interdepartmentally as needed to identify root cause and solutions.
  • Manage and document all costs associated with post-delivery issues.

 

Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills

  • Strong organizational and project management skills combined with a close attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven self-starter dedicated to quality and continual process improvement  
  • Demonstrate independent judgment and initiative.
  • High School diploma.     
  • Provide high quality internal and external customer service.
  • Assesses priorities to determine what is urgently needed.
  • Maintains schedule and tasks despite interruptions.
  • Strong customer service acumen.
  • Follow all safety requirements and keep work area clean and orderly.

 

Nice to Have: 

  • Experience within construction or manufacturing environment
