Job Full Description

Responsible for overseeing the full cycle of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), job costing, and cash flow transactions. You’ll handle a variety of critical tasks, from entry and posting to reviewing and processing daily accounting functions. You will also provide essential support for administrative functions, including project bookings, budget entry, and managing contractual notices and subcontractor documentation.

 

In this role, you will have the chance to support our Financial Manager with account reconciliations, month-end closings, and play an active role in improving our financial systems and procedures. An ideal candidate possesses future management aspirations to lead and develop a strong administrative team.

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Day-to-day transactions for AR, Cash, and AP.
  • Proficient in all areas of accounting software including AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Reconciliation, Cash Manager, Project Controller, Project Budgeting and Subcontractor Management
  • Understanding of Contract and subcontract documentation and requirements
  • Timely filing of monthly or quarterly sales & use tax returns
  • Perform closing and reconciliation of general ledger accounts with subsidiaries
  • Consistent monitoring and pursuing of past due invoices and providing monthly updates to senior leaders
  • Enter and apply check payments and electronic deposits
  • Monthly invoicing including supplemental customer required forms
  • Respond and prepare monthly invoices adjustments
  • Preparing project bookings in accounting system and budget entry
  • Complete customer contractual requirements including certificates of insurance
  • Entry of project change orders and budgets in accounting system
  • Processing of change order paperwork and monitoring
  • Support month end closing and reconciliation
  • Ensure compliance with state resales certificates
  • Assist with global accounting goals and initiatives
  • Provide backup support on reviewing timecards and processing expense reports

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
    • Ability to work independently and be self-directed
    • A mindset to continuously improve processes and procedures
    • Strong management aspirations, with a desire to lead and develop a team

 

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This position is a non-remote, in-person, office work environment at our Renton location.  Consistent typing and spending much of your time sitting at a desk or computer.   Small repetitive motions with mouse and keyboard are required. 

 

COMPENSATION:

  • Annual salary ranges from $75,000 - $95,000

 

POSITION TYPE AND HOURS:

  • Full-time, non-exempt
  • In office position (not remote)
  • Monday – Friday 8am-5pm (flexible start and end time)

 

 

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Three plus years of general accounting experience
