Position: Mechanic II
Type: Full-Time, Evaluation to Hire
Location: Woodinville
Pay: $35-$40 per hour, DOE
Schedules: Monday-Friday, 7:30AM-4:00PM
Job Details: The Mechanic II repairs and maintains mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards. This role requires knowledge of machinery and tools, performing inspections, repairs, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper performance. The position may also involve assisting with yard operations and special projects.
Essential Functions:
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and testing of industrial machinery.
- Read and interpret manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain equipment.
- Record all maintenance and repairs.
- Follow strict safety and environmental procedures.
- Support special projects as needed.
Job Conditions & Physical Requirements:
- Exposure to all weather conditions, noise, fumes, and dirt.
- Must wear PPE (safety shoes, hearing protection, respirator, face shields).
- Stand up to 12 hours/day, lift up to 100 lbs, bend, crouch, reach, and walk on uneven ground.
- Workload may be unpredictable; extra hours may be required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- 5 years of experience assisting skilled trades persons in the repair and maintenance of heavy equipment required.
- Candidates with an Associates degree in Heavy Duty Truck or Heavy Equipment Repair and 2 years of relevant experience may also be considered.
- This position requires possession of a valid driver’s license and the ability to drive an automobile.
