Position: CNC Machine Operator/Shop Associate
Type: Full-Time, Evaluation to Hire
Location: Mill Creek
Pay: $23-$25 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-3:30PM
Job Details
This position is responsible for loading and operating CNC machines, following work instructions, and supporting general shop operations as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous CNC or manufacturing experience, though candidates with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Load and operate CNC machines according to work instructions and production requirements
- Set up and run 3-axis vertical CNC milling machines
- Follow work instructions to ensure parts are produced accurately and efficiently
- Inspect parts using precision measuring tools, including micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Perform in-process quality checks and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications
- Identify out-of-tolerance conditions and troubleshoot machining issues to bring parts back within specifications
- Deburr parts as needed during machine run time
- Handle materials and perform general shop duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Assist with additional shop tasks and production needs as required
Qualifications / Requirements
- Previous CNC machine operation experience preferred
- Experience setting up 3-axis vertical CNC milling machines preferred
- CNC lathe experience is a plus
- Manufacturing, machining, or production experience preferred
- Ability to use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean workspace
