Diesel Tech - Agriculture
Location: Moses Lake and Surrounding Areas
Pay: $22-$27 per hour, DOE
Looking for a skilled technician to assemble, maintain and repair machinery and farm equipment. The Diesel Techn will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability of machines, engines, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manual dexterity and great attention to details.
· Be able to work with various machines and tools, while following all safety precautions.
· Maintain records of repairs and maintenance done tractors, irrigation systems, platforms, and any other used for operations.
· Repair or replace pneumatics with agricultural equipment.
· Maintain inventory of parts needed to perform any maintenance or repair.
· Perform maintenance and repairs on trees and weed fan jets.
· Calibrate fan jets on trees and weeds.
· Configure and adjust implements in the shop and fields.
· Perform maintenance and repairs to amendment spreaders.
· Make service calls out to the fields for repairs.
· Manufacturing agricultural equipment whenever necessary or needed.
· Repair and adjust hydraulic systems.
Ideal Candidate:
· Maintain a work environment that is clean and organized.
· Valid, clean driver’s license
· Minimum 3 years of experience repairing and maintaining construction or ag equipment.
· Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components.
· Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers, ect.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers).
· Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, blueprints, ect.
· A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines.
· Excellent communication skills with problem-solving ability.
· Very good physical strength and stamina.
