Position Summary

Quality is at the heart of what we do. The Encapsulation Machine Operator's primary function is to operate, clean, and maintain the encapsulating press with high quality standards.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Work independently or with an assistant in individual production rooms during cleaning and set-up
  • Verify current production run with prior run samples at the start of encapsulation and report any discrepancies to the Production Lead
  • Follow guidelines and SOPs to set up and break down machines and auxiliary components before and after operating
  • Perform installation of components using hands and hand tools including torque wrenches and feeler gauges
  • Add powder and capsules to the machine during operation
  • Monitor quality throughout the run for physical defects and correct weight
  • Make adjustments to achieve acceptable quality and efficiency
  • Document all activities as required by SOPs on batch tickets, room logs, and other records
  • Handle and move drums of powder, empty or filled capsules using hand carts or safe lifting techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area; remove bags and boxes
  • Ensure all products are properly marked throughout the production process
  • Communicate problems, solutions, and opportunities effectively

Educational/Experience Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Prior experience in production recommended

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Must be competent, accurate, and efficient
  • Dependable with excellent attendance
  • Uncompromised integrity and ethics

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for entire shift and keep pace in a fast-paced environment
  • Manual dexterity required for detailed hand work
  • Specific vision abilities may include near acuity, far acuity, depth perception, accommodation, color vision, and field of vision

Work Environment

  • Dusty environment
  • May be required to wear protective gear (dust masks, gloves, etc.)
  • May be subjected to noise from warehouse equipment

This tour will include gowning up and a walkthrough of all production areas, led by Vil Singthong and Trinity Vang, our experienced team members.
