Position Overview
The Sales Operations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the sales organization by ensuring efficient day-to-day operations across order management, distribution partner support, and customer assistance. This position acts as a central liaison between sales, operations, logistics, and customers, while also providing entry-level technical support to deliver a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations & Order Management
- Process and manage customer orders accurately from entry through fulfillment
- Validate pricing, product configurations, and customer information prior to submission
- Coordinate with operations, finance, and logistics teams to ensure timely processing and shipment
- Track order status, backorders, and shipping updates; communicate clearly with stakeholders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CRM and ERP systems
Distribution Account Support
- Support distribution partners with day-to-day account and order needs
- Coordinate inventory availability, order flow, and shipment schedules
- Assist in resolving order discrepancies, returns (RMAs), and fulfillment issues
- Provide reports and updates on account activity, forecasts, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with the sales team to support channel programs and promotions
Entry-Level Technical Support
- Provide basic technical assistance related to product setup, features, and general troubleshooting
- Escalate complex technical issues to engineering or advanced support teams as appropriate
- Maintain working knowledge of products, solutions, and common customer use cases
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Serve as a point of contact between sales, customers, distributors, and internal teams
- Support process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Assist with reporting, data analysis, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in sales operations, order management, or customer service
- Experience working with CRM and/or ERP systems
- Strong customer-facing skills with attention to accuracy, responsiveness, and problem resolution
- Basic technical aptitude and willingness to learn technical product details
- Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
