Position Overview
We are seeking a mechanically inclined Machine Operator to join our production team. This role involves setting up and operating grinding machines, maintaining quality standards, and working collaboratively to ensure efficient production operations. Schedule
Monday - Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Compensation
$20.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, load, and operate machines to grind steel chain
- Monitor and adjust machines and chain to meet quality requirements
- Prepare materials for changeover and upcoming orders
- Change grinding wheels and add coolant as required
- Maintain cleanliness of machines and work area
- Communicate with team members to coordinate production
- Cross-train in other shop areas to assist when needed
Required Skills & Experience
- Mechanically Inclined: Hands-on experience with machinery and equipment
- Pneumatic/Hydraulic Equipment Experience: Familiarity with air and hydraulic-powered tools
- Attention to Detail: Strong focus on quality and precision work
- Heavy Lifting: Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly
- Good Eyesight: Necessary for quality control and safety
- English Proficiency: Ability to speak and read English
- Basic Math Skills: Required for measurements and calculations
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods and perform bending, pushing, pulling, reaching, grabbing, turning, twisting, and/or stooping
