Maintenance Technician
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports all facility-related operations by assisting with equipment maintenance and building systems. This role serves as a backup contact for contractors and helps manage recurring maintenance issues to ensure reliable and continuous facility operations.
Key Responsibilities

- Perform preventive maintenance on production and packaging equipment
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify machinery as needed
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and prevent issues
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
- Assist with equipment fabrication, installation, and facility improvements
- Collaborate with production staff on equipment training
- Identify parts needs and coordinate ordering with Purchasing and Accounting
- Track maintenance work using Smartsheet and Asana
- Serve as backup representative for the Safety Committee
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- 3–5 years of skilled trades or industrial maintenance experience preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment required
- Food, beverage, or dietary supplement industry experience preferred
- Hands-on experience with industrial machinery required
- Experience with packaging equipment is a plus
Skills & Abilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to maintain and repair equipment efficiently
- Proven troubleshooting skills for diagnosing equipment performance issues
- Strong attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- High level of integrity and professionalism
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent squatting, bending, and climbing ladders
- Ability to stand for extended periods in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment
- Exposure to food allergens
- Dusty conditions require use of protective equipment (e.g., masks, gloves)
- Moderate to high noise levels from warehouse equipment
