Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter / Assembly Technician to join our production team. This role involves measuring, cutting, threading, and assembling pipe and fittings using both hand tools and power machinery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment while producing accurate, high-quality assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, thread, and assemble pipe and fittings according to specifications
- Secure fittings manually and with power machinery to ensure tight, leak-free connections
- Operate industrial pipe threading and fitting machines safely and efficiently
- Use skill saws and other cutting tools to prepare pipe accurately and minimize material waste
- Read and interpret measurements using a tape measure and job specifications
- Inspect finished work for accuracy, quality, and proper fit
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and follow safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with pipe fitting, threading, and assembly
- Strong measuring and cutting skills with attention to detail
- Ability to safely operate industrial machinery and power tools
- Proficient in reading tape measures and following specifications
- Dependable, punctual, and consistent work ethic
- Ability to work on feet and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Familiarity with quality inspections or production standards
- Prior experience working with pipe, fittings, or industrial assemblies
Work Environment
- Fast-paced production or shop setting
- Standing, lifting, and manual labor required
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and industrial machinery
