Position Overview: We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable individual to fill the role of Packer, with a specific focus on loading machines with plastic rolls. The Packer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes by accurately and efficiently preparing materials for packaging. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Load plastic rolls onto machines according to production schedules and specifications.
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure proper feeding of plastic rolls and adjust as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Package finished products according to customer requirements, including labeling, sealing, and palletizing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including removing waste materials and keeping packaging supplies stocked.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries while operating machinery and handling materials.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate workflow and address any issues or concerns.
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks on equipment, such as cleaning and lubrication, to ensure optimal performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or packaging role preferred.
  • Familiarity with operating machinery and equipment, with specific experience in loading plastic rolls preferred.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including rolls of plastic weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as measuring and inspecting materials.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
