Full-Time Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator
Compensation: $22.00 to $23.00 per hour

Position Overview:
We are a mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth through leadership development and community engagement. Serving a 29-county region across central and eastern Washington and northern Idaho, our organization works closely with thousands of youth and adult volunteers to build skills, confidence, and character.

We are currently seeking an Outreach & Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. This full-time position is responsible for implementing effective strategies to raise awareness and drive membership growth across our service area. The role includes regular travel throughout northern Idaho and parts of eastern Washington (approximately 65% of the time), as well as evening and weekend work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute recruitment strategies to support the organization’s membership and engagement goals.

  • Plan and lead a variety of outreach activities, including school events, parent meetings, community fairs, and library or educational events.

  • Develop and maintain community partnerships with schools, businesses, and local organizations to support recruitment and program outreach.

  • Maintain and track leads and member activity using a CRM platform; ensure timely follow-up and lead conversion.

  • Communicate the organization’s values of diversity, inclusivity, and youth empowerment to potential members and community partners.

  • Demonstrate confidence and preparation in presentations and conversations with prospective members and volunteers.

  • Participate in and promote organization-wide programs and initiatives that support member engagement and retention.

  • Apply active listening and consultative communication techniques to identify needs and match individuals with the appropriate opportunities.

  • Understand and apply membership goals and lead management strategies to meet performance targets.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.

  • Prior experience in sales, outreach, recruitment, or community engagement preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current proof of insurance required.

  • Availability for frequent travel, evening, and weekend hours.

  • Bilingual skills are a plus.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to learn and use CRM or database systems.
