Quality Inspector – Metal Fabrication
About the Role
Do you have a sharp eye for detail and take pride in producing high-quality work? As a Quality Inspector in metal fabrication, you’ll ensure products meet strict quality, appearance, and performance standards. You’ll play a key role in improving processes, guiding the production team on quality best practices, and making sure products exceed expectations.
What You’ll Do

Inspect parts and finished products using precision measuring instruments and visual checks

Verify dimensions and finishes against blueprints or work order specifications

Approve finished products, identify items needing rework, and confirm rework completion

Document inspection results in reports, logs, and quality databases
-
Maintain and calibrate measurement equipment

Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency and product quality

Collaborate with the production team to teach quality control best practices

Resolve quality-related issues promptly and effectively

Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following safety standards
Who We’re Looking For

High School Diploma or GED
-
At least 4 years of previous inspection experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and training
-
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Comfortable using basic computer skills (email, web browser, data entry)
Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for long periods
-
Lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly
-
Use hands for handling, measuring, and inspecting parts

Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing, or stooping
-
Strong vision (close-up, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and focus)
Work Environment

Exposure to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration

Noise levels typically moderate to high
