Job Title: CNC Machinist / Programmer
Shift: 2nd Shift (4x10s) | Overtime as Needed
Wage Range: $24.00 – $42.00/hour (Based on Experience & Level)
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:

Our CNC Machinists perform a wide range of machining tasks—from basic to highly complex—and are instrumental in programming, setup, and operation of CNC mills and lathes. Opportunities exist at multiple levels (Machinist I, II, III), including a CNC Lead role for experienced professionals seeking leadership responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Depending on experience level, CNC Machinists may be responsible for the following:
Machining & Programming
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models.
- Select and operate the appropriate CNC machine (mill or lathe) based on project specs.
- Program simple to complex parts using Surfcam or Mastercam (2D/3D toolpaths).
- Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency.
- Set up workpieces using proper fixturing, speeds, feeds, and cutting tools.
- Perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measurement tools.
Process & Project Execution
- Collaborate with team members and Project Managers to understand project scope.
- Track labor in ERP system and maintain accurate documentation.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to R&D.
Team Leadership (Lead Role Only)
- Coordinate daily machining priorities and assign workloads.
- Support and mentor less experienced machinists.
- Communicate with leadership to address production needs and resolve technical challenges.
- Champion safety, cleanliness, and a positive team environment.
What You Bring:
Technical Skills
- Varying levels of proficiency in CNC machining, geometric dimensioning & tolerancing, and blueprint reading.
- Hands-on experience with setup, operation, and tooling for CNC equipment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality standards.
- Working knowledge of Surfcam/Mastercam and ERP systems.

Required Qualifications:
- CNC Machinist I:
High School Diploma or equivalent + 1+ years of CNC experience or a 2-year Machining Degree.
- CNC Machinist II:
High School Diploma or equivalent + 2+ years of CNC experience or equivalent proficiency.
- CNC Machinist III:
High School Diploma or equivalent + 3+ years of advanced CNC machining and programming experience.
- CNC Lead:
Proven machining expertise + team leadership skills; prior coordination or lead experience preferred.
Physical & Work Environment:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to machine noise, vibration, and airborne particles (PPE provided).
- Work with various tools, machinery, and raw materials in a fast-paced setting.
