Cheese Spread Production Team Member
Location: Barron, WI
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
Pay: $16.50/hour
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cheese Spread Production Team Member to join our growing team in Barron, WI. In this role, you'll help produce high-quality cheese spreads while maintaining exceptional standards of food safety, quality, and consistency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, enjoys working in a team environment, and takes pride in producing quality food products.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment while following all GMPs.
- Adhere to the Master Sanitation Schedule and accurately document completion.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure compliance with food safety and workplace safety standards.
- Perform quality checks, including:
- Inspecting products for quality (undamaged packaging, accurate labels, correct case counts, etc.)
- Conducting scale and weight checks
- Reporting any food safety concerns to management
- Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment, including lifts, fillers, labelers, and scales.
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic equipment or production issues.
- Stack and organize finished product on pallets according to specifications.
- Assist with other production duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous food production or food preparation experience preferred.
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and production instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and production tasks.
- Culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Passion for food production and quality products.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work 8-hour shifts.
- Wear required PPE, including hair/beard nets, gloves, ear plugs, and safety glasses.
- Stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods.
- Perform repetitive movements including reaching, bending, twisting, kneeling, crouching, and grasping.
- Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and up to 75 lbs. occasionally.
- Push and pull loads exceeding 75 lbs. on occasion.
- Comfortable working in refrigerated temperatures between 35°F–50°F.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Experience
- 1 year of manufacturing experience
- 1 year of food production experience
- 1 year of assembly experience
