Job Title: CNC Operations Manager
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Minimum 45 Hours/Week | Overtime as Needed
Pay Range: $75k-95k Salary
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily machining operations, driving production performance, mentoring supervisors and production teams, and ensuring quality and on-time delivery across the shop floor.
This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong CNC machining background and proven management experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations & Production Management
- Oversee daily machining operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met
- Schedule workflow through machining centers and coordinate production priorities
- Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Manage productivity, quality, safety, and process improvement projects
- Maintain a safe and organized 5S work environment
- Collaborate with supervisors and leadership on production schedules and project timelines
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and support supervisors and production employees
- Conduct employee reviews and performance evaluations
- Assist with hiring and workforce planning alongside HR
- Identify skill gaps and implement employee training plans
- Support disciplinary processes and maintain accountability across teams
Technical Requirements Candidates MUST have:
- Minimum 5 years of CNC Machining and CNC Programming experience
- Minimum 5–10 years of manufacturing or production management experience
- Advanced programming experience (Mastercam or CAD preferred)
- 3–5 axis machining experience in a hands-on shop floor environment
- Experience with high-tolerance machining and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files
- Experience using ERP systems (MIE Trak preferred)
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and manufacturing software
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Machine Tool, Manufacturing Technology, or related field preferred
- OR equivalent industry experience (10–15 years)
- Prototyping experience preferred
- Experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

- PPE required based on work area and tasks performed
