**Job Description: Custodial Lead**
**Position Overview:**
The Custodial Lead is responsible for overseeing the custodial staff and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across the facility. This role entails the management of daily custodial operations, the provision of training and support to team members, and the implementation of best practices in cleaning procedures. The Custodial Lead will work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders to uphold high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Supervision and Leadership:**
- Lead and manage a team of custodial staff, providing guidance, support, and motivation.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
- Schedule and assign daily tasks to custodial staff, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to timelines.
2. **Operational Management:**
- Oversee the implementation of cleaning protocols and standards in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, coordinating procurement and maintenance as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness and address any issues promptly.
3. **Collaboration and Communication:**
- Collaborate with facility management and other departments to address custodial needs and maintain effective communication channels.
- Respond to feedback and concerns from staff and facility users regarding cleanliness and custodial services.
4. **Compliance and Safety:**
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures related to custodial operations.
- Promote a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and conducting regular safety audits.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in facilities management or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of three years of experience in custodial or facilities management.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace.
**Work Environment:**
The Custodial Lead will work in various settings within the facility, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and event spaces. This position may require standing, walking, lifting, and operating cleaning equipment.
