PM String Packer:
Shift: 3rd shift, 11:00pm-8:00am, Sunday-Thursday one week, Monday-Thursday the next (Every-other Sunday)
Responsibilities: This position performs the packaging operation of string cheeses, monitoring the machinery and ensuring quality of the product. Sets up and sanitizes all machines prior to daily operation and dismantles and cleans after daily operation. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of the work area and accurately records all production information. This job requires steady standing, lifting, and stretching. Must be able to work as part of a team in a changing work environment.
Rate: $19.50/hr
AM Shred:
Shift: Mon-Fri, 5am-5pm
Responsibilities: Pulling cheese for production, operate shred machinery, pulling bags of cheese off conveyor, cleaning and sanitizing all machinery/tools/shred room, and recordkeeping. 40 degree work environment.
Rate: $17.50/hr
AM Makeroom Operator:
Shift: 1st shift, rotating schedule, 7:00am-7:00pm Shift.
Responsibilities: Learns the cheesemaking process which is highly automated. Most of the shift is monitoring the machines that make the cheese. Hot and humid work environment.
Rate: $20/hr
PM Makeroom Operator:
Shift: 3rd shift, rotating schedule, 7:00pm-7:00am
Responsibilities: Learns the cheesemaking process which is highly automated. Most of the shift is monitoring the machines that make the cheese. Hot and humid work environment.
Rate: 21.50/hr
WRC Makeroom Operator:
Shift: 3rd Shift. Sun-Thurs one week, Mon-Thurs next week 6:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Responsibilities: The WRC Makeroom Operator is responsible for key tasks in the cheese production process, including ditching cheese to drain whey, taking pH readings, cutting and flipping cheese, milling, packing into forms, and pressing. This role also involves sanitation duties and monitoring the Makeroom CIP system to ensure proper chemical concentrations. Must meet the physical requirements of being able to frequently lift/carry up to 40lbs, occasionally lift/carry up to 70 lbs. Must be able to work in a hot, humid, & damp work environment.
Rate: $21.50/hr
Additional Notes: Bilingual candidates (English and another language) are a plus but not required. Applicants should be comfortable working in a multicultural environment where communication may involve overcoming language barriers.
PM Master Operator Shift (2 openings) :
Shift: 3rd Shift, Rotating Schedule, Must be flexible!
Responsibilities: The Master Operator receives training in all production and packaging departments. This position fills in where needed for employee extended leaves and for open positions while the recruitment process happens. In order to support Burnett Dairy’s production needs, this position requires open availability to all days of the week, and times of the day with as much scheduling notice as possible. The right person for this position is someone who is flexible, adaptable and reliable. This person should have good written/verbal communication skills and demonstrate working knowledge of machine operations and overall production processes.
